Patrick Ganthier, also known as “Killy” is a painter / sculptor born in 1966 in Petionville, Haiti. He started off his career in artisanal. He later studied drawing at the Center of Arts in Port-au-Prince and attended workshops at “Kayytiga”- a gallery and cultural center created by Saint Soleil co-founder Jean-Claude “Tiga” Garoute. It was here Killy submerged himself in the "Artistic Rotation“ approach, which was a method that allowed students to explore freely between various mediums from clay to ink to paint, and much more. He participated in artistic residences in Martinique, Benin and Montreal. Since 2001 he has continued to show his work in various exhibits throughout Haiti (Atelier Jerome, Galerie Monnin, Kolektif 509) and abroad including Montreal, Barbados, Martinique, France, and the U.S. (Washington D.C. and Miami). He also participated in the expo “Haiti Kingdom of This World” which was a traveling exhibit between Jacmel, Miami, and the Venice Biennale. Killy currently lives and works in Haiti.
