Pascale “Paskal” Faublas is a self-taught artist born in 1961 in Port-au-Prince. As an established artist, she is recognized for her contribution to the revival of Haitian contemporary art through her eclectic works, collages, ink and natural pigments, wood and burnt papers, which are reflections on the cultural root of Haiti. Since her first art show in 1992 (Atelier Jerome. Port Au Prince), Pascale Faublas has participated in many solo and collective art exhibits both in Haiti and abroad. Faublas’s art can be described as unrestrained, imaginary and offers a fantasy which is a "happy fusion of antiques with a raw modernity.“ Faublas currently lives and works in Haiti.
